About SeaGlass
The best local artists for handcrafted coastal decor

SeaGlass Beach Cottage was born out of an unexpected opportunity for two best friends to do what they do best-create and sell artwork. Michelle and Holly always joke about how they are polar opposites, but the one thing that they have in common is a love for creativity and an excitement to share that creativity with others. Friends since high school, Holly and Michelle, as well as Holly’s husband, Derick, joined together to create one of the most unique gift shops along the emerald coast. SeaGlass Beach Cottage features artwork from over thirty local artists, including several exclusive artists, who contribute to making this store a treasure trove of eclectic coastal-themed art, gifts, furniture and decor.

SeaGlass Beach Cottage is definitely a must-see stop along the Gulf Coast. Visitors and locals alike have delighted in this unique store. Whether you looking for a one-of-a-kind gift or just want to be inspired by beautiful things, this is the place for you. Don’t forget to say hello to our sweet shop dog, Sam, when you stop by for a friendly visit!

Sam is SeaGlass’ sweet Labrador Retriever greeter dog. Gentle in nature, Sam loves to say hello to everyone, especially our little customers. Sam was rescued from the pound by Sunshine State Animal Rescue along with her siblings. A beautiful litter of Labradors, they were all sent to search and rescue school to become search dogs. Fortunately for Michelle, Sam failed her training because she was “too leisurely” and Michelle was able to adopt her sweet, snuggly, lovable girl.
Sam loves to sleep, play ball and especially to swim in the bay. Did I mention that she loves to sleep?! Sam enjoys going to work with Michelle and she insists on being paid with bones…after each greeting. She will also accept belly rubs, pats on the head and long scratches from customers.
SAM: Smile & Appreciate the Moment!

Michelle is a co-owner of SeaGlass Beach Cottage. She enjoys creating various types of art including: painting, drawing, stained glass, fused glass, batiking, clay and playing on her CNC. Michelle and Sam love to be outside together, especially when it comes to going on driftwood hunting excursions along the water. When Michelle is not working her dream job at SeaGlass, she is busy raising a family, multitasking between chores and creating artwork, as well as sneaking in as many naps as life allows.

Holly, co-owner of SeaGlass Beach Cottage, has been painting the Pensacola Beach Sign for over 20 years. Her artwork can be found all over the world, as well as in magazines such as Southern Living. She loves vintage graphics and signs and her artwork reflects that passion. When she is not mass producing hand-painted Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach signs, she is either creating tiny beach villages out of popsicle sticks and driftwood, or building giant box signs. There is no in-between size for Holly. Holly is also a mother and full-time caregiver to her mother in her spare time.

Derick, co-owner of SeaGlass Beach Cottage, is the man who keeps Holly and Michelle planted on the ground (they have wild ideas). Derick is a veteran of the US Air Force and served two tours in Iraq. He is also a very blessed survivor of Leukemia and has been cancer free for six years. When Derick is not at SeaGlass, he enjoys grilling on his Traeger and feeding an army of family members every night. Derick is a bit of a quiet guy, but he will always find the words for a prayer for anyone in need.
